For my Visual Design for Games course, we were tasked with basically creating an entire game concept within the time we had for class (a semester), mostly having to focus on the art. The part I enjoyed most was the character design portion of the project, which I'm highlighting here. For my "game," I took heavy inspiration from the game Clue, which is one of my most favorite board games. I decided my main character would be the detective investigating the murder that happens just before the game begins. I started off with a very clear concept of the character in my head, but still decided to go back and do some exploratory work (silhouettes, color studies) before I truly settled on a final design.
